Availability and Rates
Dates other than Saturday arrival and/or departure can be arranged during slow periods, but
ideally rentals are Saturday to Saturday.  Our availability calendar and rates can be found at
our house's listing on Homeaway.com #208168

Our special offer for this Christmas season is $200 per day for any number of days within the
two-week holiday period, but check-out must be January 1st, 2010 at the latest.

There is tremendous demand for the house by the Mexican nationals during July and August
as well as during s
emana santa (two weeks at Easter), and the rental rates are higher for
those periods.  Mexicans who can afford to do so flock to the beaches to escape the extreme
heat of the yucatecan summer.  We have heard the partying is tremendous as well, so we
would have to remove the words "tranquil" and "serene" from our property description during
those times.

The yucatecan winter, spring and fall are warm enough for Canadians, however, and
wonderfully peaceful, and considering the long day of travel at both start and finish of your
holiday we hope you can plan for at least a two week stay.  It takes time to unwind, and there
are lots of local attractions, including a nearby golf course, to ensure you are never bored.

Be sure to check the links on the
Maps and Links page for easy access to flight and car rental
information.

Hurricane Season....  This part of the Yucatan peninsula is naturally sheltered from
hurricanes coming in from the Caribbean, and is rarely touched   From June to the end of
November is considered hurricane season, but the weather is spectacular on the Yucatan at
this time of year nonetheless.  The thrill of swimming and floating in the Gulf waters when they
were over 90F is one of my happiest memories of my trip there one September. If you are
considering a holiday to our house during "hurricane season", we can offer the following
assurances.  If your reservation approaches and a hurricane is predicted to touch Mexico, we
will refund any money you have paid to us and cancel your reservation.  If you are in Mexico
and a hurricane is forecast, causing an interruption to your holiday, we will refund the entire
house rental.
